Start at the middle. Six rounded petals open out from a polished dome, and each petal carries fine engraved lines running from the centre outward, so the flower reads as texture rather than a flat shape. A tight ring of tiny beads circles the blossom — a detail that only shows up when you have the pendant in hand, and the kind of thing customers notice in a close-up photo.
Past the beaded ring, larger petals open in a mandala frame, their outlines raised and their interiors cut away so the colour of the inner ball shows in broad leaf-shaped patches. Around the outermost edge runs a repeating border of arcs and pointed diamonds, with small triangular openings between them. Three distinct rings of pattern, each at a different depth, which is what keeps the surface moving as the pendant swings.
The sphere opens across its middle — hinge knuckles to one side, a small ball-headed catch to the other, released and closed with a press. It takes 18mm inner balls. Blush pink and pearl white soften the whole design, forest green and night blue give the openwork the depth of stained glass, and metallic silver or gold balls swing the piece cooler or warmer.
