Because the frame is a single slim polished wire rather than a wide band, the leaf tips almost meet it — which is what gives the piece its silhouette, and what makes it photograph well from any angle, since there is no wrong side to turn towards the camera. Two halves, a hinge on one side and a small clasp on the other.
The reason this tree shape sells is not complicated: buyers read a tree as a family, and a tree this full reads as a family that stayed full.
